The Japanese Garden

I love the distinctive Japanese garden tradition, which approaches nature and beauty from a totally different perspective than the west.

In the West the gardner tries to put nature in a box, to put naure into symetrical logical sense. This is typical of the western philosophical mind, always using deductive logic, and trying to put everything in an explicable box. The oriental mind used inductive logic, seeing what is there... no other explanation is necessary.

The oriental garden doesn't try and make a representation of something perfect in nature, but tries to reflect nature as it really is with all its asymmetrical and unplanned layouts, but a disciplined approach to the beauty of color expecially as it pertains to flowers.
